ABLOY quality is products and services that always meet the expectations of our customers. Belief in the security of our solutions, their reliability and ease of use, work in any conditions. In order to guarantee the operation of our products in any, even the most severe, conditions, products are tested more often than standards require.
Durability
Each ABLOY product is tested for durability in the conditions in which it will be used in real life, for the number of openings, the load that is defined in the standard. First, products are tested in Abloy’s own laboratory, then in special atorized laboratories.
A few examples of our own tests, which show how ABLOY disc cylinders withstand half a million opening cycles, which is five times the standard requirements; ABLOY CERTA motor locks were tested for 500,000 opening cycles with a side load of 5 kg – which is more than double the standard requirements.
Physical attacks
In addition to mechanical tests, durability and reliability are constantly checked by tests carried out using manual methods, such as resisting hammer blows, twisting and stretching.
Corrosion
The corrosion test is based on the standard EN 12320, however, the test conditions are tightened by using vinegar fog instead of salt fog in the test chamber.
Quality certificates
Abloy Oy has been awarded the SFS-EN ISO 9001 quality certificate since the 1980s and the SFS-EN ISO 14001 environmental management system certificate since the 1990s. In 2009, Abloy was certified in accordance with OHSAS 18001 – Occupational Health and Safety.
